The Steve JobsSchool started in 2013 in Amsterdam because of the desire to react more to the personal educational needs of the students. This was done by using devices with adaptive software, which allows children to work on their own level. This led to more schools following the same path.
Tech Insider appointed the Steve JobsSchool as 1 of the 13 most innovative schools in the world. We were and are invited all around the world to deliver keynote speeches about personalized learning. Visitors are coming from all over the world to Amsterdam to sit with us and visit schools together.
With the Steve JobsSchools, as well as with all other schools in the world who are involved in personalized learning, we saw the same problem: Not being able to track students with an increasing level difference. Because of those level differences it becomes difficult, if not impossible; to match the learning offer of the teachers and the learning needs of the students correctly.
We have developed the software suite ‘sCoolTools’ to overcome these problems. sCoolTools uses the curriculum of the school that has been broken down into the learning goals for the students. These learning goals are linked to the level of the student and based on that, a Personal Learning Goals Plan and schedule are made per student.
sCoolTools makes personalized learning possible in different ways. This enables the school to make their own choices and retain their own identity.
Through sCoolAcademy we guide schools to work out their model/ vision and train teams to execute it.
